8th Annual Bonefish Luncheon To benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Joseph County Thursday, November 11, 2010 marked the date for the 8th Annual Bonefish Grill Luncheon and Auction. Highlights of the luncheon included acknowledgement of Julie Sparazynski’s dedication and commitment as an outstanding volunteer again in 2010. Julie was also recognized for this honor in 2009. Our special guest speakers were Big Sister Darcy Davis, Big Brother Jim Pickley along with Former Big Brother Lew Laderer & Tony his Little Brother. They shared their perspectives on how our program has influenced their lives and generally helped in life. It was wonderful to hear the perspective from one of our “littles” who is now grown. It reiterates how our program changes lives. Our live auction items included: • Tickets to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade • Golf packages to Arizona and Florida • A Caribbean getaway • A corn hole game crafted by one of our matches and • A Bonefish Excursion. Big thanks once again to Doug Osthimer, our amazing auctioneer. We also had 15 guests commit to fund our Sponsor a Match program this year. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the 2010 Bonefish Luncheon, especially Tim and the entire Bonefish Staff. It is through the generosity and support of our strong community relationships that Big Brothers Big Sisters is able to significantly impact the lives of the children we serve in our community.
